Lisa is provided by Whitfield Hanson Accountancy Ltd ("we", "us", "Lisa"). By using Lisa via WhatsApp, you agree to these terms. Please read them properly — if anything's unclear, contact us before you carry on using the service.
Lisa is a WhatsApp-based assistant that helps you log receipts and invoices, raise sales invoices, track mileage and CIS deductions, and get information about your own live finances where you've connected your own Xero account. Lisa is a tool to help you stay organised — it is not an accountant, and it does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice.
You must be at least 18 years old, based in the UK, and either self-employed or authorised to act on behalf of a UK business to use Lisa. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for reviewing anything Lisa produces before relying on it.
Lisa gives you information based on your own data — it does not tell you what to do with your money, and nothing it says should be treated as financial, tax, or legal advice. Where Lisa estimates your tax position, this is an estimate based on available data only and is not a substitute for a proper Self Assessment or professional advice. For anything requiring a professional opinion, speak to a qualified accountant.
Any bill or invoice Lisa creates in your Xero account is created as a draft, or requires your explicit confirmation before being finalised. You are responsible for checking these are accurate before approving, sending, or submitting them anywhere. Lisa uses AI to read and interpret documents and messages, and while we work hard to make this reliable, mistakes are possible — always check before relying on anything Lisa produces.
If you connect your own Xero account (or, in future, other accounting software), you do so under your own agreement with that provider. Lisa acts on your instructions within that connection, and you can disconnect it at any time.
Lisa is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features or subscription tiers in future — if we do, we'll give you clear notice before anything you're currently using starts to cost money.
Don't use Lisa for anything illegal, to submit fraudulent documents, or to abuse the service (e.g. deliberately overwhelming it with messages). We may suspend or end access for accounts that misuse the service.
Lisa is provided "as is". While we take real care to keep it accurate and reliable, we don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we're not liable for losses arising from your use of the service beyond what's required by UK law. Nothing in these terms limits liability for things that can't legally be limited, such as fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You can stop using Lisa at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, or if we discontinue the service — where reasonably possible, we'll give you notice first.
We may update these terms from time to time as Lisa develops. We'll let you know of any significant changes.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
